“Video has been THE biggest driver of growth for OFB in 2017. Before working with Alex I couldn't find a videographer who understood not only what I wanted to capture, but its purpose. I am very ROI-focused which very few creatives understand, but Alex did and was happy to listen to where each video would fit in my business, how it would be used and would do his best to ensure the production suited that purpose. ”Sukh Sidhu

Unless you’re lucky, one video won’t change your business overnight.
Most videographers will happily create a beautiful film for you even if it’s got zero substance and offers no tangible value to your viewers.
Not this one.
There are two things that your brand or business – large or small – needs to convey in its marketing more than anything else:
1 – Consistency
Why? Because what your customer sees is what they think they’re gonna get.
In order to build up a tribe of loyal fans, followers and customers, you need to gain their trust, and that only happens by marketing to them consistently with quality content over time.
So… I go beyond what most videographers offer.
Instead of creating pretty-but-pointless promos for the sake it, I help my clients – the people you see in the video above – systemise and optimise proper video strategies from start to finish.
Your videos won’t just be focussed around the benefits of your product or service. They’ll be based on your:
- Audience – their needs, wants, and the trends within
- Expertise – how exactly you can help your ideal customer
- Personality – what you stand for, your passions, the why behind your business
- Positioning – reflecting the premium-positioned brand you have… right?
The idea is unashamedly simple: to gain the trust of your audience by being yourself on camera, and offering stuff of value to your audience, so that they become loyal fans and followers. Hardly rocket science…
But how many videos have you seen where a shiny-suited salesperson bereft of any personality simply preaches about how awesome his business is, reeling off a list of why you – the viewer – should part with your money and buy their stuff?
And how many times have those uncreative, overly-salesy, grotesque and cheesey films made you want to go ahead and buy the product or service in question?
If it’s more than once, you can go ahead and close this page.
Seriously – you won’t like what I can offer you.
I frequently turn down requests to make these kinds of clinical videos. Most of the time, to be fair, they’re from people who just don’t know any better.
But in this day and age, ain’t nobody got time for rubbish in the busy, saturated and noisy world that is The Internet.
To stand out, you need content that is a cut above the norm.
There’s nothing I love more than seeing my clients getting the attention, engagement and appreciation they deserve as a result of having premium video content at the wheel of their marketing machine.
And in turn, it’s incredibly satisfying to see them reaping the rewards of such success – more fans, more sales, and a business that they love to be a part of.
That’s what Artifact Media’s all about.
The people and businesses you see in the video above are reaping the benefits of consistent, effective, high-quality video content.
It’s my job to plan, create and deliver video with purpose; films that are going to perform a specific function in your marketing strategy.
I work both independently and with other filmmakers, and have had the pleasure of filming everything from dog trainers to downhill mountain bikers to Gary Vaynerchuk.
If you know what kind of video your business would benefit from, great… but don’t worry if you don’t.
Because I’ve had plenty of experience with both large companies and small businesses, creating a huge range of video content over the last 4 years, I can advise you on your options.
You may need a single film, a video series, or a combination of both. In any case, it’s my job to see you win with video.
The best place to start is by downloading this 5-step Cheat Sheet I made, so you can answer some basic but important questions on how you can use video to grow your business.
“Alex and his team of pros gave us a great service - clients can see how we look and sound before hiring us and we had a great time filming. Bookings have tripled!”Gareth Elwell
Freelance Camera Op & Camera Assistant
Me and my kit are also available to hire for freelance camera and sound work.
I’ve worked on TV ads, live performances, award ceremonies and short films like A Six And Two Threes (directed by Andy Berriman, produced by Candle & Bell), which screened at 17 festivals around the world and won 4 awards.
I’m based in the north-east of England but will gladly travel.

How much does it cost?
The cost of video production can vary between projects and will depend on the time, equipment and crew needed. I can give you an estimate with just a brief outline of your ideas – just drop my assistant an email.
However, the better way to go is to book a one-hour Video Marketing Consultation – we’ll take a more detailed look into your marketing, you can ask me anything you like about video, and you’re guaranteed to leave with tangible action plan.
So even if we decide that video production isn’t appropriate for you right now, you can start creating content straight away.
How long does it take?
It depends on the scope of your project, but usually within 4 weeks of filming.
Is it safe and legal?
Of course! Artifact Media is fully insured, which includes Public Liability up to £2million.
Everything recorded for your production is backed-up for at least one year following completion of your project, so you’ve got access to subsequent copies, re-edits or repurposed content whenever you need it.
What equipment do you have?
I’ve amassed around £10,000 worth of filmmaking gear, and often hire in additional cameras and lighting kit too – it all depends on what’s required. Rest assured, your films will look and sound ace.
Does this whole video thing work?
Damn right it works.
My clients are many and varied, running all kinds of businesses and marketing to all manner of audiences.
The common theme between them is that most don’t just stop at one video project – they book time and time again because the content we create is so well-received by their target market.
A Bit Overwhelmed?
If you’re not sure what’s right for you or your business, don’t worry.
I made a Cheat Sheet which will help get your head around using video for your business – big or small.
