A lot changed on 23rd March 2020.

When the UK lockdown came into effect, many businesses ground to a halt and saw their income vanish.

It was – and continues to be – a troubling time, with much uncertainty on the horizon.
But there’s also positivity to be found, if you look for it.

That’s what REC The Lockdown is about.

We wanted to help share the stories of people who adapted and soldiered-on throughout this time, to reassure the people of the northeast that there are things to feel good about, and that there is a positive future ahead.

Episode 1 looks at bricks-and-mortar businesses – some of the most heavily-affected during the UK lockdown. It turns out that despite the difficulties they’ve faced so far this year, there is plenty of positivity ahead.
